Solar Powered Water Access Point
TagMeter Systems developed a fully solar powered Water Access Point. From a borehole water is pumped up into a water tank and using gravitation the stored water is distributed into containers in batches of 25 litres by default. Water Credits are stored on RFID Tags/Tokens. The Tag is updated with meter readings and meter status every time it is inserted into the central unit interface.
Product is introduced for the fist time in Benin in Africa. Water Entrepreneurs are selling water using handhelds or their mobile phone and topping up the Tags/Tokens from customer with the newly purchased credits water. Same system can be used as Water Kiosk System in Urban and Rural areas.
